TANGY TYSON MEALS IN FIVE MINUTES
To meet consumer demand for quick and easy home-style meals featuring on-trend flavors, Tyson Foods Inc., Springdale, Ark., expands its dinner meats with four varieties. Flavors are slow simmered, perfectly seasoned and ready in less than five minutes, giving busy couples more time to connect over a delicious dinner for two. Varieties include: Braised Beef Brisket with Mild Chili Sauce (featuring rich, deep flavors of mild chipotle and ancho chili peppers, roasted tomato, cumin and coriander on a tender beef roast perfect for shredding or slicing – suitable for tacos or enchiladas); Pork Loin in Sweet & Tangy BBQ Sauce (slow-simmered pork loin in a hickory smoked BBQ sauce); Beef Steak Tips in Burgundy Sauce (tender cuts of beef rubbed with fresh thyme, cracked peppercorn and a touch of mustard, slow cooked in a rich simmering sauce of mushrooms, burgundy wine and all natural beef stock); and Beef Brisket in Fire Roasted Onion Sauce (beef roast paired with a caramelized sweet onion sauce that can be carved or shredded). Available fresh in the refrigerated meat aisle in 17-oz. packages, they contain no preservatives and are vacuum-sealed for freshness. The meats can be heated in a microwave for four minutes or in a conventional oven in 20 minutes. The new products “give consumers a change of pace and allow them to enjoy unique, zesty and ethnic flavors without the spending says all day prepping in kitchen,” Rachel Marler, director of marketing. Suggested price is \$5.99 retail
SHAKE YOUR OWN MILKSHAKE
MolliCoolz, Stockton, Calif., shakes up freezer aisles nationwide this summer with four varieties of Shakers. Using new ice cream technology, consumers add milk and a shake of the hand to produce the perfect milkshake.
CONTEMPORARY, BUTCHER-QUALITY MEAT CUTS FROM HORMEL
Providing consumers with even more delicious options to solve the dinnertime dilemma, Hormel Foods, Austin, Minn., expands its extensive Hormel Always Tender product portfolio to include three new contemporary, flavorful profiles. The same fresh, quality cuts of beef and pork one might find at a local butcher shop are seasoned with a high quality, flavorful marinade, guaranteeing the meat will come out tender and juicy each time. Varieties include: Pomegranate Basil Pork Tenderloin, Mediterranean Herb & Olive Oil Pork Loin Filet and Bourbon Maple Pork Loin Filet, all available in the fresh meat case. “The new Hormel Always Tender flavored pork varieties were created in response to consumer demand for new and sophisticated flavors that resemble their favorite restaurant entrees,” says Kurt Lindsey, associate product manager for meat products. “As a leader in the fresh meat category, Hormel Foods strives to provide consumers with up and coming flavor profiles that do not require extensive preparation and have all the flavor and tenderness you would expect from a high-quality cut of meat.” Suggested retail price ranges from \$7.99-9.99.
Shakers are distributed as singleserving containers filled with pelletized ice cream beads. Simply add milk to the Shakers container, replace the lid and “shake it like you mean it” for just seconds. The pelletized ice cream beads, made with fresh cream and natural flavoring, are frozen via liquid nitrogen. They are specially formulated to soften and mix with milk producing a consistent and convenient milkshake experience. Varieties include Vanilla, Chocolate, Strawberry and Cookies ’n Cream. “Our revolutionary Shakers are changing the way milkshakes are enjoyed in households across America,” says Bryan Freeman, founder and president/CEO. “Shakers are a great snack for the whole family, combining our state-of-the-art ice cream beads, milk and a few good shakes to produce a great milkshake in seconds.” Suggested retail price is \$2 each.
